Abijah (Boyge) Plowman
March 13, 1933 - November 14, 2024
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at the age of 91 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and wonderful memories, his wife of 69 years Florence; Daughter Valerie and Sons: Dana (Glenda) and Shane (Lisa); Grandchildren: Allison (Snoopy), Ryan and Steven (Stacy); Great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Claire and Ty; Brothers-in-Law: Arthur (Olive) Patey of Clarenville and Colin (Judith) Patey of NOTL, ON; Sisters-in-Law: Joyce (Donald) O'Keefe of Port au Choix; Jean (Guy) Mercer and Naomi Patey of Port Saunders; as well as a large circle of special nephews, nieces and friends.
Boyge was predeceased by his Parents: William and Alfreda (Diamond) Plowman; Brothers: Henry (Ann), George and David (Pauline) Plowman; Sisters: Ruby (John) Gaslard, Sadie (Neil) Pike and Charlotte (Gordon) Caines; Parents-in-Law: Stanley and Violet (Butt) Patey; Brothers-in-Law: Freeman (Audrey), Leonard (Betty) and Theophilus Patey; Sisters-in-Law: Bertha (George) Hawkins, Stella (Fred) Ayers and Nancy (James) Jackson and special nephews and nieces.
Our family would like to acknowledge and thank the Nurses, Doctors and Staff at RGHC for the special care and kindness you showed Dad and our family for the past three weeks. (A very special thank you to Gorvin Myers, Acute Care Social Worker, for your help and listening ear, Mom and I really appreciated it).
As per Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place.
The Funeral Sevice will take place at Saint John the Divine Anglican Church in Port Saunders on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at @ 2 pm with The Rev. Marie Smith and Rev. Deacon Ida Patey officiating.
Interment to follow at a later date.
