Obituary of Rose Hope

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Chatfell Hope announce her passing on November 14, 2024, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 72 years surrounded by her family and friends.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons: Deaon (Luella ) and Robert. Her grandchildren that she adored and loved: Timothy and Ava. Brothers: Roy (Helen), Manuel, and Percy (Josephine) Manuel. Sisters: Ruby (Phil) Michelin, Bessie (Ray) Humby, Violet Manuel (Paul), Geraldine (Colin) Hoskins, Juanita (Boyd) Pilgrim, and Camella (Tony) Andrews. Sister in laws: Gloria Hope, Marcella (Joe) Murphy, and Helene Manuel. Brother in laws: Jordon (Ruth) Hope, Bruce Pardy, and Wilfred Goudie. As well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

Rose was predeceased by her husband: Frederick Hope. Her parents: Margaret and Roland;  siblings: Priscilla Manuel, Minnie Pardy, Audrey (Junior) Blake, and Don Manuel. Also predeceased by parents in law: Jenson and Laurie Hope and siblings: Josie Hope, Blanche (Chesley) Gear, Judy King, Geraldine Goudie and Ivan Hope.

As Rose’s wishes cremation has taken place.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, at 2:00 pm from  St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL with Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating.

 As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family or a charity of one's choice.
