Obituary of Emily Amalia Nicolena Hilda Obed

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emily Amalia Nicolena Hilda Obed announce her passing on Thursday, November 14^th, 2024, at her home in Sheshatshiu, NL, at the age of 59 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her Common-law spouse: Melvin Martin; Daughter: Carol-Ann Obed (Anthony); Son: William Obed; Grandchildren: Ethan & Robert Obed; Stepchildren: Jaden (Dana), Kerrilyn, & Ashley; Step-Grandchildren: Jayden, Laina, Daya, Uapstan, Jayden Jr., Noah John, & Felix; Brothers: Toby & Elias Obed; Sister: Sarah Obed; and Niece: Cheyanne Obed. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Emily is predeceased by her Parents: Markus & Hannah Obed, Brother: Adolpa (Sunny), and her two children: Hannah & Robert Obed.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Saturday, November 16^th between the hours of 2:00-4:00pm (Family Only), and 7:00-9:00pm (Public).

The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18^th at 2:00pm from the Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, with Pastor Russ Austin officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
