Obituary of Irene Mary Hamlyn

August 14. 1951 - November 12, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Irene Hamlyn announce her passing on November 12, 2024 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre in Port Saunders, in her 73rd year.

She leaves to mourn with fond amd wonderful memories her son Dwayne, granddaughter Jasmine, sister Helen, brothers: Terry (Cathy), Ren (Christina), Wayne (Janet), Amedee (Josephine), best friend Alicia Patey, brother-in-law John Galliott, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, the Hamlyn family, extended family and friends.

Irene was predeceased by her parents:  Patrick and Mercedes Myers, sisters:  Alice Galliot and Jessie Myers, brother Gus Myers, sister-in-law Verna Myers, parents-in-law:  Albert and Blanche Hamlyn, friend Danielle Cornick.

A special Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Charles Curtis S. Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony and the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre, Port Saunders.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix, NL 

Thursday, November 14, 2024, 7pm - 9pm.

Friday, November 15, 2024 from 2pm - 4pm  

Family Service / Visitation, Friday, November 15, 2024 from 7pm - 9pm @ St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, Port au Choix, NL

Funeral Mass / Celebration of Life, Saturday, November 16, 2024 @ 11 am with Father Rossi officiating

Interment to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bartlett's Harbour, NL.
