Obituary of Francis Gerard Hepditch
Frank Gerard Hepditch
December 6, 1960 - November 1, 2024
Corner Brook, NL
It is with broken hearts that the family announce the peaceful passing of Francis Gerard Hepditch, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, on Friday, November 1st, at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 63 years.
Francis, better known as Frank, passed away with his family by his side. His devoted wife, Jamie, and his daughter, Nicole, who was the light of his life, never left his side and held his hand until his last breath.
Frank took on many roles throughout his 63 years. He worked with Bell Aliant for 30 years and was part of every community he lived in; from Corner Brook to St. Johns to Labrador City to Hampton, NB. He was known for his quick wit, love of music, a good round of golf and providing entertainment thru his skits, with Jamie as Mrs. Clause to his Santa Clause, Nanny Hynes to his Dickie. He volunteered thru the years with his local church, Aliant Pioneers, Rotary & Kinsmen Club. If a hand was needed, Frank was quick to offer his hand whether it was for community or family and friends.
Frank and Jamie were a team and there is no better example of this than the birth of their daughter, Nicole. He took this role seriously and savored every moment of her childhood and raised her to be a strong independent woman. He was the best dad a girl for ask for. He was her biggest advocate and protector especially after the birth of his grandsons, Jack and Jesse. The role of Pop came to him naturally and his legacy will live on through them.
Leaving to mourn with beautiful memories of a wonderful husband are his best friend and devoted wife of 42 years Jamie, their wonderful daughter Nicole (Jason)and the pride and joy of his life his grandchildren, Jack and Jesse. Son-in-law Travis Clannon, brother David (Deb), sisters, Elizabeth and Christina (Special nephew Liam) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Leo Hepditch, brother Paul (Roxanne), mother and father-in-law, Jim and Patricia Power, special sisters-in-law Mary Buckle and Patti Barry.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, particularly the Palliative Care Unit and Janet Peckford, for their exceptional care and compassion given to Frank. The family would like to acknowledge Gus, Colleen, Patrick and Nicholas Carey, who have been a constant support system for both Jamie and Frank during his illness with PSP.
