The family of the Late Patricia Power would like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all who helped ease our sorrow over the passing of our beautiful, gentle mother.

We gratefully acknowledge and appreciate the expressions of sympathy from numerous relatives and friends near and far through your beautiful flowers phone calls, emails, texts, visits, words of comfort ,cards of sympathy, prayers, gifts of food & donations made in mom’s memory.

Special thank you to the staff of the 5th floor and the Palliative care unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for your compassion and exceptional care given to our gentle mother.

Thank you so much to Fr. Edward Terry for being by our side in the hospital, the funeral home and at church for his kind words that summed up her life as a woman who devoted her life to God, faith and family. Thank you to the pallbearers and everyone who took part in her beautiful funeral mass. Thank you to the staff at Fillatres Funeral Home for their support and  professionalism. Thank you to the ladies at All Hallows Parish who served at the reception after moms service. 

For all the generosity and compassion shown to us we would like to express our gratitude for your kindness it meant so much to us and will be remembered always.
 

 

 

Patricia Eileen (Foley) Power
April 25, 1933 - October 27, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Eileen (Foley) Power announce her passing into eternal life with her loving and devoted family by her side at the Palliative Care Unit at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on October 27, 2024 at the age of 91 years.

Leaving to mourn with beautiful memories of a gentle woman are her son Tony (Barb), her daughters: Colleen (Gus), Carol (Harley), Jamie (Francis) and Jackie (Barry). Sons-in-law Tony Buckle (Lois), Keith Barry. Grandchildren: Jeff, Brad (Tonya), Craig (Stephanie), Nicole (Jason), Patrick (Megan), Kayla (Mike), Adam (Abby), Justin (Megan) and Nicholas. Great grandchildren: James, MacKenzie, Chloe, Taylor, Jack, Jesse, Nathaniel and Crew. Sisters: Mamie, Alicia (Ben), brother Frank, sister-in-law Daphne numerous nieces and nephews as well as special family friend Sheila Kelly.

She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Suzanne Foley, husband Jim, two daughters Mary and Patti as well as sister Madonna, brothers Tom, Josh, Edward, Kevin, infant brother Frank and son-in-law Eric Rex.

Mom was a gentle woman who lived her life with grace and an unwavering faith. Her daily prayers were an important part of every aspect of her life.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff on both the 5th floor and the palliative care unit at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion she was given.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home (4 St. Marks Ave) on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 2 pm from All Hallows Parish on Humber Rd with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. 

Expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations to All Hallows Church, the NL Heart and Stroke foundation or charity of one’s choice.
