Obituary of Jean Wells

With a lifetime of everlasting love, the family of Jean Wells (Bird) announces her peaceful passing, at the Labrador Grenfell Health Center, Happy Valley—Goose Bay, at the age of 74.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Reginald Wells, her parents, Robert and Valencia (Lethbridge) Bird, Parents-in-Law George and Emma (Downer) Wells, and Brother Lewis Charles Bird.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her three sons, Daren Wells (Georgina), Steven, and Shawn.

The Eight Joys of her life, her grandchildren: Katie, Nicolas, Gaige, Trenton, Alexis, Drayton, Dylan, and Daxton; Sisters, Arlene Bird (Guy), and Marion Kenny; and Brother Michael Bird; Brothers in Law, Don Wells (Anne), George Wells, Robert Young, Sisters in Law, Cora Wells, and Debbie Wells; Special Cousin and Lifelong Best Friend, Margaret “Chick” O’Neill (Jim). 

Family and friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 1^st, 2024, from the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Happy Valley—Goose Bay, NL, on Wednesday, October 2^nd, 2024, starting at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation of sympathy may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff that cared for our mom, The Rev. Nellie Thomas, for her pastoral care, and our family and friends for all the love, support, and kindness you have shown.
