Obituary of Sheldon Lloyd Crocker
Please share a memory of Sheldon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sheldon Lloyd Crocker, a beloved husband, father, son and friend, who left us far too soon on September 8, 2024 at the age of 42.
Leaving to mourn his wife, April; sons, Aiden and Nixon; fur buddy Max; mom Marie; mother Sheila; siblings Dale, Wade, Rowella (Larry), Scotty, Chantal (Chad) & Rebekah; mother- and father-in-law Lola and Dave Noel and brother-in-law Mark Noel (Shayvonne); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends and coworkers who were like family. He was predeceased by his Pop (Austin Crocker), brother Neil Crocker and brother-in-law John Young.
Sheldon was, first and foremost, a loving husband to April and devoted father to his boys, Aiden and Nixon. He embraced fatherhood with a heart full of love and dedication. His boys were the centre of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them, whether teaching them the art of fishing, sharing stories around the campfire, or their daily walks with Max. His infectious laughter and warm presence will be profoundly missed by them and all who knew him.
Sheldon had a deep connection with the great outdoors. He found solace and joy in the quiet moments of dawn in the woods and the thrill of a day spent on the water. His stories of catches and hunts will be cherished memories for those fortunate enough to have shared these experiences with him.
A friend to many, Sheldon was known for his loyalty, kindness, and unwavering support. His circle of friends will remember him as a person who could always be counted on for a good laugh, a great story, a helping hand, or a listening ear.
Though Sheldon’s time with us was far too short, his spirit and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of joy and a profound appreciation for those he loved.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm from Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Marks’s Avenue followed by a memorial service on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm from Fillatre’s Chapel where we will gather to honor his memory and celebrate his life. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Heartfelt thank you to the amazing first responders for doing everything they could to help and to our family and friends who’ve offered tremendous support during the most difficult time.
Sheldon will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His spirit will forever remain in the quiet corners of the woods, the gentle ripples of the water, and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
