Obituary of Mary A Genge-Bowers (CARD OF THANKS)

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The family of the late Mary A. Genge-Bowers would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for your expression of condolences through cards, flowers, text messages, email, phone calls, all forms of online messages, and donations.

Thank you to Rev. Canon Vernon Short of the Parish of Flower's Cove, for the beautiful service.

Special thanks to Dean Catherine Short of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, for making the trip up the northern peninsula to take part in Mom's funeral. Your beautiful homily was deeply touching; she would have been impressed.

We also like to thank the grave diggers, pallbearers, scripture/prayer readers, and anyone else who had a hand in helping us prepare for her service. Our relatives and friends in Anchor Point and other communities were extremely supportive. It was very much appreciated by the family at this difficult time.

We thank again the staff of 4N Corner Brook Long Term Care, for your care of our mother during her stay.

Thanks to Fillatre's Funeral Home for your compassion and professionalism.

For those of you who have been asking about making donations in her memory, we suggest the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, or the Western Memorial Hospital Foundation - both in Corner Brook.

She loved us dearly, as we loved her, and she will be forever in our hearts.

Mom was a masterful seamstress, quilter, knitter and baker, and used her talents and skills to make many donations to the church and other causes. A perfectionist to the core, she made everything from baby clothes to wedding dresses. She was a friend to many and always there with a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She had strong faith and was always there to help with church functions until her later years. She was a special person in many ways. We were so lucky to have her in our lives for so many years. We will miss her very much but celebrate her long life.

Special thanks to the staff of 4 North, Corner Brook Long Term Care for the wonderful care they took of our mother.
