Obituary of Stephen Edmund House

Stephen Edmund House 

December 1, 1978 – August 18, 2024 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stephen Edmund House announce his sudden passing on Sunday, August 18^th, 2024 at his residence at the age of 45 years.  He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother, Alice House and special Dad, Wayne MacRae; Uncles George (Michelle), Jerome (Jessie) and Chris (Sandi); Aunts: Margaret (Danny) and Dana (Scott); cousins Edmund, Caleb, Felisha, Kristie (Prium), Jake (Sidney), Willow and Keith (Kayla); as well as many other relatives and friends. 

He is predeceased by his loving grandparents Edmund and Clara House, father John Organ, Uncle Keith Cox, cousins Joshua and Jessica House. 

Stephen was loved and cherished by all who knew him. He was special beyond words. The light of his world was Nanny House, and he was hers. They had a bond that could never be broken. He loved to go in the woods with Uncle Jerome and bring out wood for Nanny. The last few years his health started to fail, but his spirit remained strong. He was at his happiest when we had special dinners at our house, the whole family would make him the centre of attention.

Heartfelt thanks to the special people who took care of Stephen on a day-to-day basis; his angels of workers, Yolanda Pennell, Leanne Heath and Prudence Tinevimbo. As well as a special thank you to Dr. Pomeroy, Nurses, Coady Lafosse, Joanne Hewlett and homecare workers who filled in on weekends.

Visitation will take place from the Epiphany Anglican Church in McIver’s on Tuesday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 Am to 2:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Terry Loder officiating.  Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
