Obituary of Hank Coates

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hank Wilfred Coates announce his passing on August 9^th, 2024, at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 68 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Gail; children: Hank Jr and Jennifer (Alvin); grandchildren: Mandy, Cadence and Declan: mother: Phoebe Coates; sister: Joyce (Roy); brothers in law: Perry (Sharon), Richard (Marilyn), Wayne (Virginia), Larry (Mary) and Tug (Bonnie); sisters in law: Dorothy and Tammy (Gus); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Hank was predeceased by his father: Hubert Coates; and parents in law: Dick and Olive Pottle.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Sunday, August 11^th, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm for the immediate family only and 7:00-9:00 pm for the public.

 As per Hank’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no church service.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Gosoe Bay, NL.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Doctors, nurses and staff of the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL for their care of Hank. An extra special thanks to Dot, sister in law, for all her company and support throughout Hank's illness.
