Obituary of Florence Marion Hann
Florence Marion Hann (née Rose)
July 21, 1941 – July 6, 2024
The Hann family is sad to announce the passing of their beautiful Mom, Florence Marion Hann, who left us peacefully on July 6, 2024, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s. Florence was predeceased by her loving husband, Obed Hann, father George Rose, mother Harriet Rose, sister Mamie Marsden, and brothers Ray and Roy Rose.
Florence’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and compassion. She epitomized selflessness, as demonstrated by her remarkable act of giving a kidney to her brother. Her generosity extended beyond her family; she was always ready to help her neighbours, whether it was with taxes, running errands, or caring for loved ones.
Florence was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Her hospitality was unparalleled, making her home a haven for home cooked meals, lively conversations and heartfelt connections. Visitors to Burgeo were always greeted with open arms and a welcoming heart, thanks to her love for socializing and her ability to make everyone feel at home. Florence enjoyed gardening, sewing, and baking treats for her grandkids, nieces and nephews and friends.
Florence leaves to mourn with many loving memories: Children: Lewis (Ursula), Deanna & Peggy; Grandchildren: Kyle, Alex, Madison, Jacinta & Kristmundur; Great grandchildren: Oliver, Lena, Elliott, Kate & Rosie; Sister Meta; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love, light, and joy she brought into our lives.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 13th from 2 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM at Faith United Church, Burgeo. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 14th at 2 PM Faith United Church. Interment to follow at Burgeo Cemetery.
We’d like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Residence and Pleasant View Towers.
Funeral services will be live streamed, please visit the funeral home website for the details.
