It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cyril Henry Janes announce his passing on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 60 years, Edna (nee Cox), children, Ross (Emma), Meadows, Norma (Elliott) White, Hughes Brook, Enid (Doug Power), Corner Brook, Gary, Kamloops, BC, Pauline (James) Proctor, Colborne, ON, Wanda (Frank) Power, Corner Brook and Glenda (Norma) Rector, NS, grandchildren, Glenda & Amanda Janes, Darrell & Debbie White, Marcel & Michelle Power, Lori Blanchard, Erin & Lesley Power, Catherine & Victoria Rector, great-grandchildren, Debra, Kayla, Jasmine, Jenell, Gabriel and Abigail, one great-great grandson, Parker, sister, Mabel Abbott, Kitchener, ON, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Florence Janes, granddaughter, Joanne, brothers, Clem, Garfield, William, Joseph and Edward, and sisters, Ethel, Amelia and Edna. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Corner Brook, today, Monday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Curling, Rev. Gordon Druggett officiating, interment to follow at Mount Patricia Receiving Chapel.
