Eric Philip Greavette Payne

March 28, 1943 - June 27, 2024

It is with great sadness the family of the late Eric Payne announce his sudden passing on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 81. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 57 years Jane (nee Saunders); daughters, Maxine (Dennis) Lushman, Cynthia (Billy) Power, and Susan (Rod) Follett; grandchildren Andrew, Kaitlyn, and Ryan Lushman; Carrie and Scott Follett. Brothers, Doug, and Mike (Violet); and sister Kathleen as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. 

Eric is predeceased by daughter Mona; parents Donald and Alice Payne; father and mother-in-law Alfred and Mabel Saunders; sister and brother-in-law Nona and Gordon Bragg; sister-in-law Irene Payne; nephew Morgan Payne and niece Judy Bragg.

Family and friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, on Monday, July 1st from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Fillatre’s Chapel on Tuesday, July 2nd at 2:00 pm officiated by Rev. Cannon Tanya White.  Inurnment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints’ Anglican Church Capital Renovation Project or to a charity of one’s choice.
