Obituary of Gladys Rubena Laing

Gladys Laing
August 24, 1930 – June 26, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Gladys Laing announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, surrounded by her family at the age of 93. As a loving wife, sister, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was dearly loved and will be missed.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Diane (Wade) Hoyles, grandchildren, Robert Hoyles (Laura) and Matthew Hoyles; great grandchildren, Ruby, Everett, Eleanor and Billie.
Gladys is survived by her sisters Elsie Burry and May Gillam, and brother Eddie Roberts. 
She was predeceased by her husband Clifford Laing of 74 years; her brothers Ernest, Donald, Ivan, and Hughie; and sisters Lily and Alberpha. 

Precious memories last forever

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 29th, for family from 1-2 pm and family and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place at Saint Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, 21 Farm Road, Deer Lake on Sunday, June 30 at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donaitons may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
