Obituary of Thomas Michael Quigley

Thomas Michael Quigley passed away peacefully at his long-time residence at Woodbine Ave in Curling on June 16^th, 2024.

 Leaving behind his loving wife Geraldine in their 60^th year of marriage, daughter Anne and grandson Darius, daughter-in-law Cathy Pelley-Quigley and grandchildren Aiden and Abi. Siblings left to mourn such loss is his sister Ann (John), and brothers Dermot (Kathleen), and Joseph (Annette).

Thomas is predeceased by his parents James Thomas Quigley and Theresa Dorothy (Joyce) Quigley. Brothers Patrick, James (Rosalie), Dominic (Joan), Alphonsus (Martha), Aloysius (Florine), Sisters Sadie (Ray), Dorothy (William), and Mary (Joseph). Thomas was also predeceased by his dear sons, Tommy (Cathy) and Jimmy.

Thomas was a loving family man, intelligent and witty, and a devout catholic…Making it to mass and spending a Father’s Day celebration with his immediate family the evening before his passing. He dearly missed his sons and after reaching heavenly gardens, met them both again on Father’s Day. Also sharing a game of cards with his sister Mary and spending a day over the bay with her husband Joe. Taking a ride in Fonce’s beloved car. Enjoying an old fashioned get together at home with Dominic. Meeting Sadie and Dorothy at their mother’s kitchen table. Arguing over politics with Wish. Sharing long overdue and greatly missed hugs and handshakes with his oldest sibling James. Finally reuniting with his brother Patrick who left us too soon and so long ago. Thomas amassed such a circle of friends that though now in heaven, prayers will forever keep him with us.

Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Tuesday during the hours 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 am from Sacred Heart Church 469 Curling Street with Father Alphonsus Iloekue officiating, interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish.
