WWII Merchant Marine It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fred Compagnon announce his passing on Sunday, March 13th, 2005 at the O' Connell Centre in Corner Brook at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his second wife Rita; children: Frank (Alice), Prince George, BC, Terry (Roslyn), Hare Bay, David (Bonnie), Toronto, ON, Jocelyn (Rick) Bostock, Gibbons, AB; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: Eric, George, Jack (Cecilia); sisters: Jean and Rhodina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents James and Sarah, first wife Mabel and by his brothers and sisters. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Corner Brook on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, March 16th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church, John's Beach with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of one's choice.
