February 20, 1957 - June 10, 2024
Corner Brook, NL
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bruce Byron Randell of Corner Brook, NL on June 10, 2024. His passing at Western Memorial Hospital was peaceful and he was in the presence of his wife and daughters. Bruce had spent the days prior reflecting on memories of gratitude and appreciation for his 67 years of life of which he lived to his fullest ability.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Janet, Susy (Michael), and Sarah; granddaughters, Ahlyah (Brady) and Aurora; sisters, Sherry (Pat) and Samantha; brothers, Wayne (Dianne), Brian (Linda), Brent, Graham (Kim), and George (Phyllis); and a large extended family. As well as Laura Thackerey-Sadler and her family. He was predeceased by his father Llyod Randell and his brother Doug.
Bruce's impact on those around him was immense, and he will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends, and union colleagues. His family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of WMRH and a sincere appreciation to the members of the dialysis unit.
Friends and family are invited to visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday, June 14 from 2-4pm. In lieu of a funeral service, Bruce's wishes were to have his ashes scattered in Florida by his family.
Bruce was a wonderful father, a devoted husband, a dedicated advocate of Human Rights and a respected member of his community. His lasting request for those who knew him, is to hold dear the happy memories they shared, and to find strength in those moments as they move forward.
