Q: What will you never forget about Norma?
A: Norma was a cheerful, happy person, in love with life.
The clearest memory I keep from her is when she joined us during a trip to Acapulco, Mexico in August 2018 (see attached picture). On our way back to Mexico City, we had a series of incidents while riding on a rental transport that would cause any other person to have a panic attack. But not Norma! She enjoyed adventure and she trusted family - her extended family- to a point that she never stopped smiling.
Her memory stays with us and I celebrate her joy for life.

Norma will always stay in my memory as a very caring person, she always had a smile on her face. I even remember the time we were traveling that I got sick she was attentive and looking a way to help me feel better.

Dear Warren and family,
Norma was such a beautiful lady, full of fun and laughter. I am so sorry for your loss.
I will always remember your visit to Mexico and the fun we all had together traveling with the kids and all the family. I will cherish all those moments in my heart. She will be greatly missed.

Q: How did you meet Norma?
A: Norma came to our lives as part of a bundle. A great bundle when the Gordillo House decided to build a family story together.
Norma and Warren came to Mexico to meet the new family in a family vacation Mexican style: food, laughs, adventures, beach, sun, drinks were elements we shared that allowed us to treasure her as a person, as a mom, as a grand mom and as a friend.
She gained our hearts and easily became an extended mom and grandmom to us, and we learned to loved her.
That road trip to Acapulco I think was unique for her and Warren; all packed in a van, numerous stops, heat, shouts; but I bet the biggest memory she took was that we need to make a long line and pay to use the restroom and a little piece of toilet paper!! She just laugh, but that smile was a reflection of her soul: positive and kind.
After that, they went back to Canada, and we continued building that family relation despite the distance: Facebook, WhatsApp, Zoom were the tools we use to keep us in touch and learn from each other. Now, she is with our Lord and we will continue thinking and talking to her through our prayers and memories as we pray to the Lord.
She lives in our hearts and in our memories; in every smile from Alex, Lili, Sara, Warren and Alfredo his extended son.
Love you Norma and thanks to God to allow us to cross paths in this life.

Being an "aunty" to Norma's wonderful grandsons, Parker and Nate, we were so fortunate to have gotten to know Norma and Warren when they were here in Calgary. Her lovely smile, very infectious laugh and immeasurable love and pride of her 'perfect ' grandsons and their Dad, are all very prominent memories of this lovely unforgettable woman. ❤️ RIP dear lady.

Warren and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Norma's passing. I always enjoyed our cheerful chats especially when she worked at Sears. We always chatted about family. In more recent years, she talked about her trips to Calgary which she looked forward to very much. Of course, she always had stories about the grandchildren. We are so sorry to hear of Norma’s passing! Our daughter brought her into our lives and she was always full of mischief and fun with our shared grandchildren.
