Obituary of Trevor Thomas Childs
Trevor Thomas Childs (Uncle T)
May 27, 1979---April 21, 2024
On Sunday morning, April 21st, 2024 our lives were forever changed. It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Trevor Thomas Childs announces his sudden and tragic passing in Lark Harbour, NL. He leaves behind a beautiful loving wife, “the LOVE of his life” Joanna and their three precious children Carrie, Addisyn and Reece. He will be forever loved and remembered by his parents Thomas and Sharon Childs; siblings Terrie (Neil) and Sandy (Scott); nieces and nephews Aleigha, Ryder, Shayna and Seth; special friend who was more like his brother, Damien Joyce; fishing buddies Uncle Terry and Marcus; father and mother in-law Dale and Valerie Park; too many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to name, as everyone that met and knew Trevor, knew he was a buddy for life. Predeceased by grandparents Thomas and Melina Childs, Linton and Pearl Gilbert and special nephew, Bruddy (Nicholas Skinner).
The last ten years have been like a whirlwind romance from the day Joanna and Trevor met; it was love at first sight. There were no happier moments than when he came home at the end of the day to see his three beautiful babies waiting for him at the door….it was everything he ever wanted in life.
Trevor was the kind of guy that was always there to lend a helping hand. Everyone that knew him, knew what a great storyteller he was and how he liked to embellish them to get a ‘rise’. He had a passion for the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and was an active member of the Canadian Rangers since 2018. He will be greatly missed by everyone in Lark Harbour/York Harbour and the whole fishing community.
There will be visitation for family and friends on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 4 to 9pm at St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour, NL from where the Funeral service will also take place on Friday, April 26th , 2024 at 2pm, followed by interment at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. James All Grade School Scholarship Trust Fund, The SJAG Breakfast program or St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour, NL.
