Obituary of Hepsey Louise Patey

February 12, 1940 - April 15, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Hepsey Louise Patey (nee House) announce her passing  at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital (ICU)  in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 84.  

She will be forever loved, missed and remembered by her husband of 62 years Alonz0 Patey,  children:  Ray (Bella), Vivian (Garland), Diane, Madeline (Spencer), Fenton (Katrina), Jennifer (Amos) and Camille; grandchildren:  Chad (Cathy), Darcy (Stephanie), Damien (Laurie), Jenny (Brian), Ealaina (Danny), Jonathan (Kendra), Dominic, Nathan (Heather), Dylan (Nikita); great-grandchildren:  Winter-Lee, Emily, Mitchell, Natalie, Alexis, Joshua, Amie, Andrew, Ella, Lily, Blake, Lucy, Laura and Adrian; sister Rone Katjivena (Keith) as well as a large circle of family and friends.

Predeceased by:  parents Grant and Sarah House, parents-in-law Earl and Lucy Patey, grandchildren:  Shelley-Lee Taylor, Stephanie Patey, brothers:  Doug, Garland, Raymond, Clayton, Winston, sisters:  Olive, Ella, Connie, Phoebe, Effie and Gaye Murrin.

The family would like to thank the staff at ICU Western Memorial Regional Hospital and Dr.  Irfan, Dr Jewani, nurses and paramedics at Port Saunders Hospital for their care, compassion and endlesss kindness to mom and and all our family at this difficult time.  Thanks to Donna Gillis for being in the ICU with mom every day.  God Bless You All.

Visitation will take place at St. Peter's Anglican Church, River of Ponds, NL. 

Thursday, April 18th, 2024 from 2 pm - 4 pm & 7 pm - 9 pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 19th @ 2 pm.  The Reverend Marie Smith officiating.  Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, River of Ponds, NL.
