Margaret Shears

Stephenville, NL

September 12, 1945 – March 28, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Margaret Shears announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on March 28 at the age of 78 years.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her partner Austin Sheppard; her son Joseph (Sylvia), her daughter Leanda; grandchildren: Emily, Derrick, Stuart, Damian, Samantha; great-grandchildren: Cyndel, Myles, Malachi; step-children:  Carl, Edward, Melvin, Rhonda, Glenda and their families; her brothers: Aubrey, Calvin; her sisters:  Bell, Ethel, Geraldine, Marley and a large circle of nephews, nieces and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Simon Shears; her parents Royal and Ettie Madore, her daughter Winona; granddaughter Jackie; step-daughter Genevieve; brothers: Leon, Austin, Fred, Warren, Churchill; sisters:  Irene, Marina and Rose.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Cancer Society.

Burial only at the Anglican Cemetery, St. David’ on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 @ 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Norman Cutler officiating.
