In Loving Memory of Eva Jeanette (Davis) Hann
June 11, 1930 – March 16, 2024
Jean Hann, born on June 11, 1930, in Port aux Basques, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and resilience. Jean's life journey took her from the shores of Newfoundland to the bustling streets of Toronto, where she and her beloved husband, Ralph, forged a bond that lasted over five decades.
Throughout her life, Jean's nimble fingers and creative spirit made her a master seamstress, able to weave magic with fabric, yarn, and thread. Her talents extended beyond the sewing machine, as she could craft, knit, and crochet with unparalleled skill and finesse. Countless people were touched by her handcrafted gifts.
After Ralph's passing, Jean returned to her roots in Newfoundland, finding comfort and companionship in the loving embrace of her brother, Roland. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph, her parents Louis and Mary Davis, and her siblings: Ella Davis, Louise Fitzpatrick, Dorothy Anstey, Edna Keeping, Sam, and Kenneth Davis. She also joins large number of siblings-in-law from the Hann family in eternal rest.
Jean leaves behind her devoted brother Roland (Rosalie) Davis, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family members, whom she held dear.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the compassionate staff of Westmount Estates and the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care and support.
In accordance with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place, with plans for her return to Port aux Basques at a later date.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Jean's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
