Obituary of Samuel Broomfield
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Samuel Richard Broomfield announce his passing on January 24th, 2024, at Long Term Care, Labrador Heath Centre, Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL at the age of 78 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Mark (Suzette) Broomfield, Lynn (Nick) Hickey, and Blair (Lisa Peckford) Broomfield; grandchildren: Brady (Breanne), Samantha, Matthew, and Sommer as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Samuel was predeceased by his parents: William and Susan Broomfield; wife: Betty; sister: Margaret; brothers: Willie, Tony, Abe, Batten and Donald. Visitations will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 7:00- 9:00 pm and Sunday, January 28th, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, from the United Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at 2:00 pm with Rev Alice Moores officiating. Interment to follow at the Moravian Church Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Broomfield family.
