It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carrie Stone announce her passing on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010 at Legrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques at the age of 78 years. Born in Lapoile, Carrie was the daughter of the late John and Adlaide Vautier. She was predeceased by her brothers Albert Bond, Walter Vautier and Chesley Vautier; sister Amy Riles; sisters-in-law Loretta Vautier, Rita Sheaves and Dorothy Stone; brothers-in-law Airmon sheaves, Jack LeRiche and Jack King. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, her loving family: husband of 60 years, Max; children: Phyllis (Reginald Carroll), Margaree, Alfreda (Douglas Walters), Fox Roost, Roberta (Isreal Strickland), Fox Roost, Ivan (Virginia Stone), Fox Roost, Wayne (Wanda Stone), Margaree, Maxine (David Payne), Trenton, ON, Derick (Cathy Stone), Margaree, Michael (Wanda-lee Stone), Margaree; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Kay LeRiche, Mildred King, Sybil (Gerald King); brothers: Gerald Vautier, Maxwell (Clara Vautier); sisters-in-law Bernice (Albert Osmond), Lois Vautier, Edna Vautier, Sus Thorne; brothers-in-law Gilbert Riles, Herbert Stone, a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends, including the staff and friends at Mountain Hope Manor. Visitation on Wednesday evening and Thursday from St. Augustine's church in Margaree, from where the Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 9th at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter. Interment following at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the family.
