My memories of Aunt Ann are from spending time with her and Howie at their condo in Florida and all the times I had seen her at Una's in Deer Lake. She had a love of life and people that was so energized and she was warm and welcoming to everyone on her path. Your beautiful spirit lives on and you will be forever admired and loved. Ann was such an amazing woman! My family and I were amazed by her beauty, her smarts, her independence !
She never failed to make us smile! We loved to have her visit ! She was so loving ! And she sure loved her Godson Gary ( my Dad) and never failed to say it! You will be forever loved and missed.

Whether kings and princes or the common man, you made sure to treat everyone you met with love and grace.
You were blessed with the memory of your favourite animal, the elephant, and a heart to match.
How can I forget running up the stairs to the kitchen after 3:00 in morning, having heard a thud and thinking you had fallen, you had only dropped the cheese you were grabbing! What a good laugh we had on that early morning!

I only met Ann when she came to Pasadena,after talking to her a few times I soon found out she was very close to my mom’s family growing up .
Ann was such a loving person ,I will never forget her .

To Wess, Janice, Sharon, Una, Madonna, The Field, Reardigan, and Dunlop families, to all Annie’s extended family, as well as to all who knew and loved her. It is hard to find words to tell you how much I’d like to be with you all today to share in the celebration of Annie’s graceful life and hug you all. Her faith was unwavering, so undoubtedly we have Another Angel to watch over us. She is gone to be reunited with her darling Howie and her beloved ones gone before her. As we let her go we take comfort they are waiting with loving arms.
We all know It’s going to be challenging to move on without her physical presence as she was a fierce force of goodness in our lives. To try and comprehend she won’t be there to share in everything whether it be joyful, or stressful, to confide in, to laugh and cry with right now, is unimaginable. To know we won’t hear’ ah get on with ya’ or ‘whatever blows ya dress up’ from her again is as well too unimaginable.
While we are so very sad and lonely right now as her abrupt departure had left us wondering how to manage without her input, one day the wonderful Memories we all have will
Leave us smiling yes…(at times through a tear) but nothing more than grateful for her love. I am so glad we got to spend quality and quantity time especially in her last years and so very thankful she chose to tell me very recently there was something she felt she wanted to say to me. She wanted me to know what I meant to her and I got to reciprocate. We both knew and agreed it didn’t NEED to be said but nice we did so. Not everyone gets this opportunity and there are times we don’t take advantage of that opportunity. She wouldn’t want any of you to risk that. She loved us all dearly. If we can journey on through her inspiration and carry her legacy of love, acceptance,and positively especially in challenging situations as she did, then we will make her legacy worthwhile. Will any of us ever see an elephant and not think of her? She carried herself with Such class and dignity yet so very humble at heart. God bless us all and If we were blessed enough to know and share in the love, compassion and fun with Annie Virginia Field, I think we are blessed enough!

Ann , to know her was to Love her . She was a regular at church on Sunday morning.I had the pleasure of visiting her and her precious puppy with Reverend Gosse last spring. She was so excited upon our arrival. We chatted and laughed about everything. I couldn’t help admiring her Elephant collection. Well over she went and pulled two more from her china cabinet and insisted we take one each . Mine sits on my TV stand to this day . I was so sad to hear of her passing . RIP sweet Ann .

To Ann’s family….my deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of such a beautiful soul. I met Ann, of course, through my late husband Boyd in the good old “telephone days”. Always a delight to be in her company and she always made you feel special. Spent evenings with her through her godchild, June, in Kelligrews where there was always loads of fun, food and music. Ann was one of a kind and so full of life and I thought of her often.

Oh my heart. I met Ann in the 70s and her charismatic character I shall always remember. She asked me to stand-up for her when she married way back then. And that was in another life, for us both. Over the next five decades, life placed us on different paths. But during all that time, just a couple of brief-chance-meetings and it was like being transpotted back to the 70s. Ann I’ll always remember your exuberance, your charm and your uncanny wit. Me, always in awe of how you so naturally ran your open-arms household way back then, as I am sure you did until your final breath. You were like no other. I loved your Cook’s Harbour stories.

When I think of Ann I think of “family “ , she made everyone feel so welcome in her presence. She opened her home to so many family and friends over the years from Cooks Hr -St. John’s-Florida. Anne was one of a kind, an honest, sincere and caring person. We had great times with her and Howie over the years and are now left with the memories. This time last year she was in St. John's for Liz's funeral. Anne and Liz worked together for many years and became best friends in life and now souls in death.

Ann was an amazing person,cherished friend and she was family to me.I met Ann 45 yrs ago at Nfld Telephone when I moved into her dept.Our friendship didn't take long to become one of my greatest treasures .When Ann retired we continued spending lots time together chatting over tea at her kitchen table where she shared her wisdom with me.One of our favourite things to do was lunch and shopping together.No matter where we went people would stop to chat and tell Ann how amazing she looked . Everyone who knew Ann knew she was a style icon.When Ann moved to Pasadena I was deeply saddened but thankful we could chat several times a week.It was the best best thing to being with her .Two nights before her passing we laughed and chattering I'm thankful that was how we said good bye.I will miss her deeply and I'm so grateful she was part of my life for more than half my life ,Ann ,I love you and now I know there's another angel guiding me love Jenny Nolan

I have fond memories of Ann as a coworker and friend at Avalon Tel, Newfoundland Tel and Newtel (Bell Aliant). What a wonderful woman and life. It was a privilege to spend time with Ann on her years at Newfoundland Telephone/Aliant. She helped shape the careers of many woman who worked with her during the years. My favourite Ann story is where, during her mid 80’s, she used to volunteer and spend time visiting the “old dolls” at the local nursing homes. She was a strong woman and an inspiration. I will miss her.
