Passed away Tuesday, April 6th, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, CATHERINE DUFFY at the age of 69. Leaving to mourn her husband Laris, 4 children: Patricia Duffy(Wayne Stratton), Josephine Kervin, Richard Duffy, and Marlene Duffy (Brent Wiseman); 6 grandchildren: Dale, Laverne, Kristina, Kathy, Devin, Jacqueline; 2 sisters: Georgina Imm (Floyd), Barbara Barkhouse (Gerry), 3 brothers: Ralph Wayson (Elizabeth), William Wayson (Glenda), Kevin Wayson (Betty), sister-in-law Maxine Wayson as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents William & Eileen Wayson, brother James and sisters Margaret & Patricia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 8th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of The Sea Church, Benoits Cove Father Bernard Buckle officiating followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
