Dear Shirley, Chad and Brad. I am saddened to hear of Steve's passing. We met many years ago in a business relationship but over the years we came to be friends. During his frequent visits to my business we would talk business, the economy (especially Labrador) and politics. But his real heart always came out when the talk turned to children and grandchildren. There was no shortage of commonality there. I know he will be sadly missed. I remember the tame moose in Cormack where I met up with my brother Thomas who stayed with Shirley and Steve there, & also at the Northern Lights Inn sometimes with Selma, our mother. She had such good memories and so enjoyed her time with you, both in Labrador and Newfoundland and the time Shirley and Steve went to the Basque country. Thank you... very cherished memories of Steve and Shirley.

Shirley and family; it is with heavy heart that I pin this message today. Steve was a dear friend to us both. Eventhough, we did not see each other everyday, we immensity enjoyed every time he would come for a visit at our home. Shirley and family please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of Steve.Dick and I met Steve and Shirley when we became residents of The South Pasadena Mobile Home Park in 2010. Both Steve and Shirley were very heavily involved volunteers in park activities and committees. Steve was a man of few words, but when he spoke people listened. He was a very talented, caring person.
