Obituary of Laura Vera Bridger

Laura Vera Bridger
November 10, 1936 – October 7, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Laura Bridger announce her passing on October 7, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 42 years, Manson; children Gary (Cathy), Gay (Eric), Paula (Bill), Pamela, Kimberly, and Jamie; grandchildren Melanie, Crystal, Gary, Robert, Michelle, Jennifer, Kyle, Caitlan, Melissa, Ashley, and Matthew; many great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; brothers Beaton (Beatrice), Fred, and Barry; also many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Laura was predeceased by her parents Douglas and Dorothy Nichols; her son Rudy; grandson Jonathan; son-in-law Gordie; and brother William.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mollie Spence and Deer Lake Community Health for the care and compassion during this difficult time.

A funeral service will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Thursday, October 12, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Simon officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of Laura to the Canadian Cancer Society, Newfoundland and Labrador.
