Obituary of Theodore Isaac Tobin

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theodore Isaac Tobin announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on August 1^st, 2023 at the age of 92 years. Theodore was predeceased by his wife Pauline, his son Theodore, daughters Leverna and Sarah, grandson Jason and his special friend, Thelma March.

Although our father did not have much formal education, he was a man of many skills and talents. Dad was a self-taught carpenter and master boat builder. He was a fisherman, construction worker and owned and operated his own sawmill. He cooked in the pulp woods and worked at the Harmon Air force Base in Stephenville. Dad was a musician/entertainer and great storyteller and in later years he DJ’d at various senior’s social events. Dad had a great love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories His children Isaac (Freda) of Flat Bay, Joanann (Ivan) of Flat Bay, Christina Tobin of Brantford, ON, Georgina (Douglas) of St. George’s, Maryada Garnier (Junior) of Shallop Cove, Kenneth (Rebecca) of Mississauga, ON, Joseph Tobin of Shallop Cove, James Tobin (Shelly) of Shallop Cove, Andrew Tobin (Barbara) of Shallop Cove, grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Following the wishes of our dad, cremation has  taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George's.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish in St. George’s, Newfoundland on August 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM
