ELIZABETH MARY YOUNG Corner Brook, NL June 12th, 1919 - February 20th, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Mary Young announce her passing on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 at the J.I. O’Connell Centre at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Linda Park (Ross), York Harbour, Eva Joan McLeod (Basil), Nova Scotia, Isabelle Joseph (Tony), Ontario and Madonna Hearn, Toronto; son: Chris (Diane), Irishtown; special granddaughter Trudy (Bob) who resided with her while she was sick at home, 12 other grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters: Cecilia Dobbin, Curling and Margaret Humber, O’Connell Centre; sister-in-law Marion Dalley, Curling, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William, July 27th, 1997, parents Albert and Anastasia Bennett, sisters Mary Broderick and Voila Neary, brothers Mederick Bennett and Andrew Bennett. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday and Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM from Fillatre’s Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
