Carson Roy Froude

Stephenville, NL

December 3, 1962 – July 2, 2023

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Carson Froude on July 2, 2023 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves to mourn his wife Jackie, sons Joshua (Andrea) and Jeff (Stephanie), grandchildren Kendyl, Caroline, and Jacob, brother Shawn (Peggy), sisters Andree (Paul) and Lynn (Gary), mother-in-law Betty Fudge, brother-in-law David (Marilyn), as well as his nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Carson is predeceased by his mother Rita Froude, his father-in-law Norman Fudge, and his father Roy Froude.

Carson was a school teacher for 30 years, many of which he dedicated to coaching as well. He retired 8 years ago but continued to substitute. He enjoyed the connections and relationships with students and couldn’t seem to retire completely.  He was a compassionate man and touched many lives with his kind-hearted and caring personality.

Sports was also a passion of his and he spent many hours cheering on local athletes from the bleachers or the sidelines.  At the end of the day he could be found watching anything on TV in that athletic realm, the Bruins and Blue Jays among his favorites.

For Carson, Jackie and their family was his main passion.  He loved to travel and he and Jackie took many amazing adventures together across the world. He was devoted to his grandchildren who meant the world to him and he spent many hours entertaining them.  Carson loved deeply and he was dearly loved in return. His presence in the lives of his family and siblings will be missed beyond measure.

As per his wishes cremation has already taken place and service will follow at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Bay St. George Sick Children’s Fund or the Southwest Coast SPCA.
