Obituary of John DesRoches

John (Jack) DesRoches
July 20, 1950 - June 13, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late John (Jack) DesRoches announce his passing on Tuesday June 13th, 2023, at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo Newfoundland.

He will be sadly missed by his special friend Eileen and her family. Donna (Gary), Tony (Joy), Dave (Reene), and Cathy (Brad). Zachary, Kelsey, and Adalyn, Zoe, Alexa, Carter, Josh, Arielle, and James, Logan, and Blake.

He will be forever remembered by Keith, Glenda, Tiffany, and family and special niece Claudette Walsh.

Leaving to mourn are his brothers and sisters. Denise, Nelson, Ed, Eldon, Lillian, Maggie, and their families.

He was predeceased by his mother Rose, father Edmund, sisters Doris, Levern, Marie, and brother Earl.

Jack was born in Tignish, PEI and moved to St. Catherine’s, Ontario when he was a teenager with his family. He moved to Burgeo in 2011. Jack was a gentle soul who loved Newfoundland. From going to the garage to get a coffee or going to the government wharf for a yarn with some friends, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved to tell stories of his family and his lifetime experiences.

We would like to thank the staff at CHCC in Burgeo, especially the nurses, LPNs, and anyone else who helped Jack in his final days. Cremation has taken place.
