It is with great sadness the family of the late Thomas O’Dell announce his passing on Saturday, January 30th, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories wife Bella; children: Juanita (Tim), Joe (Marilyn), Jason (Leonia), Justin (Amanda), and Jessica (Michael); 13 grandchildren; father Dave Fowler; brothers: Joe, George, and Walter; sisters: Sophie, Bertha, Elizabeth, and Janet, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by son Dean; mother Stella, and sister Elsie. Visitors were received at the Anglican Church in Capstan Island on Tuesday, and in Our Lady of Labrador Church in West St. Modeste on Wednesday, from where the funeral services took place Thursday, February 4th at 2:00 pm with Fr. Hann officiating. Interment followed at the Church Cemetery in L’Anse au Diable. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, in L’Anse au Loup.
