JOSEPH LAVALLEE Port Saunders, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Lavallee announce his passing on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn one daughter Diane (Murray) Fillmore, Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia; five sons: Daniel (Cathy) Tucker, St. John’s, Rick, Corner Brook, Myron (Lucy), Port Saunders, Reg, Fort McMurray, Jim (Germaine), Stephenville; daughters-in-law Jean, Judy and Sylvia; grandchildren: Ryan, Travis, Krista, Nadia, Denine, Robyn, Jason, Tyler, Laurie, Jonathan, Jenille, James, Rebecca, Shane, Marsha, Marie-Josette and Marc-Andre; and great-great-granddaughter Zoey. Joseph is predeceased by his wife Carmelia, grandson Kosta; sons: Joseph and Wayne; daughter-in-law Bernice and son-in-law Brian Wiens. The family received friends at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Port Saunders on Thursday and Friday from where the Funeral Service took place on Saturday, January 16th at 2:00 pm with Fr. Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
