Obituary of Alfred (Fred) Beals

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfred (Fred) Hugey Beals, announce his passing on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley – Goose Bay, NL, at the age of 73 years.

 

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Chantal Pone-Beals; Children: Elaine Beals, Jocelyn Pokue, Freddie, Mary Margaret, Francis, Alec Pone, Amelie, and Phil Bert-Pone; grandchildren: Julie, Forest, Frederique, Alaina, Farrah, Braxton, Marie France, Roy, Raina and Aleksandra; brother: Pierce Beals (Colette); sisters: Minnie Montague and Eileen Butt; mother-in-law: Pierette Pinette; father-in-law: Ponas Pone; life long friend: Ken Powell (Wanda); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

 

Fred was predeceased by his parents: Margaret and Francis Beals; his first wife: Suzanne Beals (nee Michelin); sister: Mary Agnes Butt; brothers-in-law: Russell Montague, Clifford Butt, and Chesley Butt.

 

Friends and family are welcomed to Fred’s private residence in Sheshatshiu, on Sunday, March 26th, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.

 

A funeral service is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 27th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Tshitshitua Shushep Roman Catholic Church, in Sheshatshiu, Labrador, with Father Joe officiating.
