Gordon C. Hynes Port Au Choix, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Hynes announce his passing on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn two sons: Father Ambrose , Corner Brook and Russell (Una); four daughters: Hazel, Jocelyn (Lambert), Marie (Fred), of Port Au Choix, Jane (Val) of Port Saunders; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sister: Mildred Rumbolt; brother: Edmund Hynes; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Charles and Charlotte; wife: Lillian in 1985; brother: Abe and sister: Irene. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, January 25th at 1:30 P.M. from St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Port Au Choix, with Father Lee Lainey officiating.
