It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Locke announce her passing on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at her residence at the age of 64 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her seven children; Wanda (Howard) Power, Cambridge~ ON, Shirley (Clarence) Squires, Comer Brook, NL, Jerry (Myra) Locke, St. John's, Edwina Quibell, Comer Brook, Fabian (Maureen) Locke, Cambridge, Sheldon (Debbie) Locke, Toronto, ON, and Jarvis Locke, Oshawa, ON, grandchildren: Patricia, Howard, Jason, Stephanie, Sabrina, Joey, Karen, Amanda, Kyle, Sheldon Jr. Connor and Damian; great grandchildren; Evan and Nathan; special friend, Ron, brothers; Fred and Tom (Jean) Targett, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Art, Ron, Les, Joe and Frank. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 S1. Marks Avenue on Monday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 2..4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, at 10:30 A.M. from All Saints Church, Clarence Street. Rev, Monica Coffin officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
