It is with great sadness that the family of the late Garland Baikie announce his passing at the Labrador Health Centre, Happy Valley - Goose Bay, NL on Saturday, December 31st, 2022, at the age of 88 years.

Garland was born on March 10, 1934 in Mulligan, Labrador. He grew up spending his winters hunting and trapping in Mulligan and summers fishing in Mulliauk. 

He moved to Rigolet in 1969 when he married Sarah Oliver.

Garland lived his whole life living off the land and loved spending time at his cabin with his family.

He leaves to mourn his wife Sarah; Daughters Roberta (Bernie) and Marilyn (Kevin); Son Kelly (Mabel); Grandchildren Robert, Nathan, Ryden, Ella, Robert.A and Marek; Sister Rebecca and brothers Lewis and Lee.

Garland is predeceased by his daughter Sharon; parents Robert and Dulcie; brothers Wilbert, Bob and infant brother at birth.

Visitation and funeral service will take place at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church in Rigolet, with a date to be announced.
