Norman Dingwell Port Aux Basques, NL Nov. 9, 1930 - Nov. 30, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norman Dingwell announce his passing on Monday, November 30th, 2009 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 79 years. Born November 9th, 1930 at Port Aux Basques, Norman was the son of the late Hugh and Amelia Dingwell. He was predeceased by his son Donald (2008) and his brother Roy (2006). He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his wife Margaret; sons: Ralph (Claudine) of Fort McMurray, AB, and Derek of Thompson, MB; daughter-in-law Patsy of Bridgewater, NS; sister Pauline Bell (Peter) of Brampton, ON; brother George (Margaret) of Port Aux Basques; sister-in-law Eileen Warren of Port Aux Basques; four grandchildren: Vanessa, Dawn (Dennis), Tammy (Craig), and Robin; six great-grandchildren: Dominique, Renee, Jared, Keighan, Lauren and Liam, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday, December 1st from 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques. The Funeral Service took place at Wesley United Church on Friday, December 4th at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Tara Ann Wilson. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
