PIERCEY Marie Irishtown, NL September 20, 1935 - February 5, 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Piercey announce her passing on Saturday, February 5th, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 69 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Emma Piercey, Irishtown; special little puppy 'Lady'; special niece/daughter Jean Piercey (Ches Bennett), Irishtown; special child Phillip (Dallas) Strickland, Tumbler Ridge, BC; nieces: Sylvia (Eric) Ward, Moncton, NB, Mary (Rick) Murrin, Irishtown, Ruby (Brian) Brake, Fort McMurray, AB, Lisa (Todd) Blanchard and Angela (Steve) Piercey, both of Irishtown; nephews: Derek (Kim) Piercey, Lively, ON and Tim (Sophia) Piercey, Oshawa, ON and their families; sisters-in-law: Mona Piercey and Nina Piercey, both of Irishtown; special friends Kevin (Shellie) Strickland, Summerside, Audrey Rice, Jean (Tom) Campbell, both of Corner Brook and Olive Penney, Summerside; special mention to Emma's father Jim (Ida) Terry, Irishtown and Emma's sisters and brothers: Darlene (Harold) Terry-Payne, Roberts Arm, Faye (Leonard) Anderson, Irishtown, Shirley Terry, Gambo, Rick (Lisa) Terry and daughter Jacey, Derek Terry, all of Irishtown; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Emma; brothers Jim and Gordon. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook today Monday from the hours of 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 9th at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road with Father Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted.
