Young, Mary Elizabeth (nee Rose) 4 Inspiration Road, Burgeo, NL January 21, 1930 – February 19, 2018 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Elizabeth Young announce her passing at the Calder Health Centre in Burgeo on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the age of 88 years. She will be sadly missed by her ten children: Henry (Rose) of Burgeo, Betty (Howard) Scott of Ramea, Raymond (Roberta) of Rose Blanche, Ephraim (Joan) of Port aux Basques, Douglas (Herma) of Seal Cove, Norman (Jacqueline) of Deer Lake, Thomas of Corner Brook, John of St. John’s, Frank (Brenda) of Mitchell’s Brook, and Clayton (Debbie) of Port au Port, and a circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, sisters Lavina and Hannah, brothers John and Joshua, baby son Dale Michael, and granddaughter Rebecca. Special thanks to Ada Clothier and Diane Warren, and the Staff of the Calder Health Centre for their care and support. Service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church with Reverend Elsie Rose officiating, interment to follow at the Community cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Autism Society.
