I recall some fun times in PEI where I stayed with Shirley and Scott, her former husband. Her infectious smile could and did light up a room on many occasions. I am saddened by her passing but, like many, have been enriched by having known her.

Shirley was always a very special friend to me. I will never forget her. I am so very sorry for your loss. Shirley and I were friends ever since we met in elementary school. We shared so much: the good days, the school days, the sleepovers, the chats and so much laughter, traveling on the train together from Corner Brook to Howley ... So many great memories!

My deepest condolences to you and your family on Shirley’s passing. I have memories of her smile that came so easy and her laughter. She was a very sweet lady. To Ted, Peter and Sandi. Words can not express the sorrow I feel for you all and your family. Shirley was a wonderful friend. I met her in Barrie when we were going to School for our courses. The first day we met when she heard me speak she said you're a Newfie? I said you got it and so are you right? and she said yes by.LOL and that was when our friendship started . We were only 10 mins walk from where we lived. We always visit and spent time together. she would call me up and say I got fries on come on over. she didn't have to ask me twice lol . she was a awesome cook I had so many delicious dishes with her. And a awesome friend. Then she introduced me to Ted and I said he is the one for you. and the rest is history I was so happy they got together she deserved the best and Ted was her best.. I will cherish all the memories I have of her. we were far in distance when she moved back home but always kept in touch. She will be forever missed . please except my condolence to you all and your family. R.I.P My dear friend . I loved you like a sister. You are in the Arms of an Angel now.

Ted, Peter, Sandi and family I can’t express the sadness I feel for your loss, Shirley was a great person loved by all, I cherish every moment we spent together growing up and raising our kids.
