Lloyd Andrew Reid

November 3, 1949 – March 31, 2022

Deer Lake, NL

Lloyd passed peacefully at Western Memorial regional Hospital after a valiant flight at the age of 72. He is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Myrtle Reid (Rogers), brother Cle (Sam) Reid, brother-in-law William (Bill Whalen) and nephew Christopher Raike. He leaves to mourn with sadness and many cherished memories his siblings: Eileen Whalen, Margaret (Tony Raike), Wayne (Roxanne Halfyard), Joy (Tony Crocker), Clarence (Renate Reid), Bernice (Wade Goodyear), Angela (Clyde Simms), Goldie (Dick Langford) and his sister-in-law Sue Reid. Also leaving to mourn are a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom he loved. Lloyd will also be missed by his lifelong friends who were like family to him. Lloyd was a simple man who never needed much around but family, friends and a fishing rod. Many thanks to his homecare workers Sarah Lieske and Julie Healey. So grateful for all you did for our brother. Many thanks to all the Doctors and nurses who took such care of him over the past 7 months. Special thanks to the staff at the Dialysis Unit where Lloyd was a patient for 19 years. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Dialysis Unit at Western Memorial regional Hospital would be greatly appreciated.  A private family visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake.

He is not dead ….. He is just away.
