November 13, 1928 - March 15, 2022

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the peaceful Promotion to Glory of Roy Brown in his 94th year, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, surrounded by the love of all his family.

He leaves with precious memories his children David (Ruth), Kathryn (Bill), Steven (Elaine), and Bill (Jill).
Grandchildren Andrew (Jacqueline), Jeffrey (Mandy), Jason (Deanne), Jennifer, Erica, Abbey, Alison, and Jonathan. “Big Pop” is leaving a legacy for his eight great-grandchildren. Roy was also appreciated by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary, Ruby, Josie (Bill), Tom (Peggy) and Effie (Ralph), Russ. Also many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by the love of his life, Evelyn, in 2014, his mother and father Elizabeth and Edmund and his little sister Beryl. His in-laws WJ and Naomi Lundrigan and other members of the Lundrigan family.

Roy lived his life devoted to God and his family. He touched so many people both personally and professionally. His devotion to The Salvation Army and Salvation Army banding is well known.

Kindness and compassion should never go unnoticed, especially in times of sorrow, so we, the family, would like to thank our extended family and friends, for your love, generosity and support.  Special thanks to the staff of Westmount Estates. We also thank Fillatre’s Funeral Home for your professional service given with care and empathy.

Visitation Saturday, March 19, 2 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Marks Avenue. The family request that visitors wear a face covering. A Service of Celebration will take place Sunday, March 20, 2 PM at The Salvation Army Corner Brook Temple, O’Connell Drive, with Majors Brian & Valerie Wheeler officiating.  Internment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.

No flowers by request. Donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or to The Salvation Army Corner Brook Temple.
