It is with great sadness that the family of the late Remona Lillian Saunders announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the age of 92 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Marie Sweeney, son Joseph Almon (Monique); grandchildren: Darren, Shelley (Moe), Stephanie (Wayne), Michael – John (Reine), Robert, and Stephanie (Benoit Segnori); great grandchildren: Emma Rose, Sydney, Danielle, Alexander, Amelie and Arthur; sister-in-law Charlotte Sheppard, special niece Janie and great niece Chrissy (Charles) and their daughter Lily, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents George Stanley and Jane Sheppard, her husband Joseph Saunders, mother and father-in-law Emily and Ronald Saunders, brother Roland Sheppard, sister Edna Sheppard Ayers, brother-in-law Harry Ayers, Ronald, Albert and Alley Saunders; sister-in-law Alice, Bridgette, Margaret, Ellen, Cleo and Daisy; son-in-law Jim Sweeney.

Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Monday from 7-9 pm, VaxPass, Identification and face mask required for entry. The funeral service will be held at Fillatre’ Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Tuesday, November 16^th at 10:30 am with Father Patry officiating, with interment to follow at Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, VaxPass, Identification and face mask required for entry. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  We would like to thank the Blow-Me-Down Retirement Home for taking care of Aunt Lily, over the past five years, she loved you all
