It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Callahan announce her passing on October 23, 2021 at Labrador Health Center in Goose Bay at the age of 86. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Joyce, Bev (Frank), Lynn, Gary (Kim), Angela (Cordswell), Michelle (Todd), David (Holly), Barry (Bev), Brian (Heather), Sheldon (Jody); grandchildren: Kim, Tracey, Denise, Frankie Christopher, Lisa, Angie, Jodie, Derrick, Ashley, Chantelle, Riley, Kate, Kensley, Marley, Scott; great-grandchildren: Chris, Jessica L, Emily, Tyler, Megan, Jessica C, Madeline, Cameron, Brady, Mia, Sam, Linkin, Jackson, Peyton, Katlyne, Matthew; great great-grandchild Breah; sisters: Helen Woodford (Gordon), Loretta Fifield, June Vatcher (Hubert), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Scott Callahan, parents Mary Ellen and Samuel Nicholas and brothers David, Pierce, Ben, and Bob.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank-you” to the nurses and staff at the Labrador Health Center.

Following COVID-19 guidelines and regulations, a private family viewing will be held at Fillatre Funeral Home, 45 Aspen Drive, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Monday, October 25th from 4-6 PM, and will be open to the public from 6-8 PM. Digital VaxPass or a printed copy of your vaccine passport, along with ID and masks will be required for entry. A funeral service is set to take place on Tuesday, October 26^th at the United Church in Happy Valley Goose Bay, with Reverend Wayne Blackwood officiating. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Happy Valley Goose Bay United Church.
