It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Oliver announce her passing on Thursday, June 25th, 2009 at the age of 79 years. She will be sadly missed by her children: Pat (Mabel), Andy (Cathy), Jenny (Terry), Stanley (Shirley), Tommy (Donna), Val (Lisa) and Lily (Jim); her grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband Lawrence Oliver; children: Joan and Junior. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the Base Chapel. Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Labrador Friendship Centre Senior Citizens Van.
