Obituary of Richard Joseph Bennett

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the Late Richard Bennett announce his passing at his family residence in Flat Bay, NL on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2018 at the age of 85 years. He will be forever remembered and loved by his wife Noreen; sons: Rodney, Roger, Richard Jr., Robert; daughters: Paulette, Elaine; step-son Bernard; step-daughter Janet; grandson, who he raised, Brian Young; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sister Olive Benoit as well as many nieces, nephews other family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Alexander & Gertrude Benoit; daughter Judy; brothers: Robert Bennett, Roy Bennett, Ronnie Benoit, Raymond and sister Alma. Visitation will take place from St. Ann’s Chapel, Flat Bay between the hours of 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4th and Monday, Feb. 5th. The funeral mass will be held on Tues., Feb. 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Flat Bay, NL will take place following the service. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
