It is with great sadness that the family of the late Chris Sheppard announce his passing on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories: his loving wife of 49 years, Doreen (nee: Curtis); children: Peggy (Wayne) Park, Woody Point, Diane (Dennis) MacWhirter, Scarborough, ON, and Dennis (Shelley) Sheppard, Lethbridge, AB; six grandchildren: Amanda, Jennifer, Deanna, Dennis Jr., Caileigh and Devlan; brothers: Linton (Jessie) and Sam (Ann); brother-in-law: Pat Curtis (Nora); sister-in-law: Phyllis Duffney; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Snowden, parents: Leslie and Elizabeth Sheppard and sister Moriah. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Monday, 2-4 & 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 11th at 3:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Main Street. The Very Rev. Lorne Gosse officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association of NL, Corner Brook Chapter.
